Blog Post Illustrations
Illustrator (2019-Present)
Through Charitable Impact, I’ve worked closely with the Marketing Team to produce blog post illustrations for a wide range of topics.
The majority of my work at Charitable Impact involved a lot of layout and typesetting design. Through our blog posts, I was able to use my illustration skills to create a unique range of posts for our blog that were also posted on all of our social media.
Project Goals
To create blog post graphics for the Charitable Impact Blog
Varying Styles
The topics for each blog varied, so for each blog, I had to create a graphic style that matched the tone of the blog.
International Women’s Day 2021
For this blog post, I wanted to represent as many women as I could and highlight each person’s uniqueness, character, and beauty. I used the Charitable Impact colours for their clothing and drew from inspiration from the women around me to include in this illustration.
A second blog post was required for an accompanying research piece, so I continued the style through the use of arms with flowers and hearts representing charitable gifts.
Blog Post Series
I worked on a blog post series: 2 topics, 5 blog posts per topic. I really pushed myself with both sets of illustrations and developed two unique styles. The first set is bright, abstract, and geometric.
The second is softer in texture and utilizes a layout grid that can be easily cropped into the different required formats.
Shareable Quotes Series
The Marketing Team likes to have content on hand that they can spread throughout our social media as fillers between blog posts and other graphics. For this series, they wanted to create engaging shareable quotes from inspirational people of our time. The original brief was to stylize the quote texts, but I decided to take it a step further and illustrated all of the people behind the inspirational quotes.
