Visual Identity
Designer (2018)
Through Free Agency Creative, I worked on the brand Madison & Dawson, a real estate project developed by Porte Homes in Burnaby, BC.
My main role was to help develop the branding across all deliverables. This included: the brochure, stationary, inserts, and sales centre.
Project Goals
To create a modern brand that focuses on the emblem and soft colour palette.
Brochure
A lot of the work I did for the brochure involved production work. Finessing the text rags, the spacing of images and layouts, editing the photos, and setting everything up for print production.
Inserts & Stationary
Going with the rest of stationary feel, I made the inserts narrower so that they felt more elegant. I also toned down the black to a dark grey to reduce the amount of contrast between the type and the paper colour. With the business cards, I designed them vertically to best show off the emblem.
Community Map
Since we were using pink as one of the highlights in the rest of the brand, I wanted to flood it in the community map background. One of the most important things to highlight on the map was the transit near the site location, so I included the preview map in the corner for people to more easily see what was near them.
Sales Centre
I had to scale up and redesign a lot of the deliverables I had made, such as the floorpans and the community map, for the sales centre. The floorpans ended up being reformatted to a square, and the map was blown up on one of the walls in the sales centre.
